BAF EARNS 2007 FULL CERTIFICATION FOR CROWN VIC
BAF first achieved full certification last spring for the 2006 model year systems based on its proprietary CalComp technology. Since then BAF has completed more than 200 2006 vehicles and has secured multiple orders for the 2007 models which should exceed the 2006 business. “This certification was made possible by the hard work our team put into the 2006 vehicles,” says John Bacon, president. “Not only did the team do a great job on the vehicle system itself, but we had almost nine months of field usage which has allowed us to improve the system further. The ’07 vehicles are even better.” Orders for the 2007 Crown Victoria vehicles have already been awarded to BAF from northern and southern California as well as New York. Meanwhile, BAF’s engineering team has submitted the 2007 Ford E-350 to CARB for approval. The system has met all SULEV requirements and is based on the same proprietary CalComp technology proven out in the Crown Victoria. CARB approval is expected in March and BAF projects sales to exceed 150 E-350 Vans in 2007. BAF continues to work closely with Clean Energy, SCAQMD and NYSERDA to enable all teams to achieve their alternative fuel goals.
